Luckily, i mentioned this to a friend who just so happened to have the only known working driver i have for XP meant for the wireless card in my system (Atheros AR5B125). The next biggest problem was the Atheros WiFi card in my machine (yours could have broadcom, so this may not apply) where every that could easily be found on the internet either blue screened or was meant for 7. I had to find a driver for the iGPU from a site called driverscape which luckily had an XP driver meant for a Gateway LT25. First, the eMachines website has garbage support (and hasn't been maintained since 2006.) and so it only has 7 drivers. There are 3 main issues i ran into installing XP on the past on this, all of which are now resolved. I haven't tried any of the acer drivers that the other commenter talked about, but they seem like they should match the hardware. Old thread, but i also have an eMachines em355 and i can confirm it is basically an acer at it's core.
